 View to Mont Blanc Megève became established as a ski resort in 1916 by the Baroness Maurice de Rothschild as an alternative resort to Gstaad and Saint Moritz. In the 1950's Megève used to claim more crowned heads of state among it's guests than any other place in Europe and continues to attract an International clientele and a host of famous faces. It also remains one of the most charming and traditional resorts in the Alps, famous for it's luxury hotels, it's chic boutiques, alluring bars and fine dining restaurants.  Megeve at Night Megève lies 'hidden' in the French Alps at 1113m. The ski area of Megève (300 km ring) consist of three mountains; Rochebrune-côte 2000, Jaillet and Mont d'Arbois.
